The Midway Gallery is thrilled to announce Korean artist, Inyoung Seoung’s return to San Francisco for her 2nd solo show at The Midway. BOUND re-imagines Inyoung’s delicate thread-on-canvas paintings as large-scale sculptures. Carefully weaving the circular patterns on our gallery walls, Inyoung’s BOUND is an intimate reflection on the human desire to form and nurture family, friendship and community, while bringing beauty to how inextricably woven our lives are to one another.

We invite you to navigate Seoung’s interconnected web and consider the cyclical effects of relationships.

Inyoung Seoung’s San Francisco debut, He•li•o•tro•pic was held at The Midway Gallery in 2016 and launched the Gallery’s new programming focused on public engagement via immersive installations. You can read more about He•li•o•tro•pic here.
